ABOUT
Located on the up and coming Main Street in Cibolo, Texas; Kindling Texas Kitchen, provides regional heritage Texas cuisine cooked over a wood fire. Sourcing ingredients from local Texas farms, and ranches, as well as bringing in product from the Gulf of Mexico.
With a full dinner menu and a well stocked wine, craft beer and classic southern cocktail bar; there is something for everyone.
HISTORY
Chef Efren Sandoval came to the United States 20 years ago from the beautiful state of Michoacan, Mexico. He first landed in San Francisco where he worked two full time restaurant jobs for 15 years; mastering every station, until being offered the position of Executive Chef at the world renowned Scoma’s Restaurant on the iconic Fisherma’s Wharf.
Working the local farms, fishermen, and vendors; Efren gave Scoma’s a modern makeover while retaining its historical charm. He met his wife Elizabeth at work ( of course! ); they have been married for 14 years and have 4 children with one more on the way. They decided to move their family to the wonderful state of Texas to live a slower, fuller life and have more time for their children and each other.
When he is not at the restaurant, you can find him grilling with his family, enjoying the outdoors, hunting, leather crafting, and exploring all TEXAS has to offer!!
